We are delighted to be working with a globally recognised food manufacturing business. Due to internal progression and investments into the site, they are now looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering department and oversee Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance on-site!
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing continuous electrical/mechanical maintenance and repair services to all production equipment and machinery in a timely manner, while ensuring that production downtime is minimized.
Your Responsibilities:
* Maintain, repair, or replace electrical equipment/machinery to ensure maximum machine efficiency and performance.
* Attend to equipment and machinery breakdowns and prioritize workload accordingly.
* Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance of electrical equipment, systems, and controls.
* Undertake development work to extend the effective usefulness of company equipment.
* Identify and take appropriate remedial action to rectify equipment faults and failures.
* Ensure all necessary maintenance information is recorded using recognized documentation.
Your Skills & Experience:
* Apprentice trained to a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Discipline or equivalent.
* Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) structure.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
