An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League for the position of Operations Manager for Stoke City Football Club’s Community Trust. This role will be based at the bet365 Stadium and other facilities as needed.
Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, you will hold a pivotal role within the senior management team. You will collaborate with colleagues to execute the charity's vision and mission, ensuring that all initiatives are in line with the Club’s strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational functions of the Community Trust and will have direct oversight of the administration team.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing the operational functions of the Community Trust to ensure effective resource utilisation.
* Providing direct line management for the administration team, creating a supportive and productive atmosphere.
* Developing and executing processes and procedures across various operational areas, including fleet management, staff scheduling, payroll, health and safety, risk assessments, safeguarding, data collection, kit and equipment management, merchandise, player engagement, quality assurance, staff development and facility usage.
* Identifying and implementing changes to enhance operational efficiencies within the department.
* Supporting governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to the Capability Code of Practice and funding agreements.
* Working with the senior management team to achieve the charity's vision and mission, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Assisting in the organisation and execution of key fundraising and awareness events in collaboration with the senior management team.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Proven leadership skills in developing team members.
* Excellent organisational and operational planning skills.
* Proficient in developing and implementing processes and procedures.
* Previous experience in payroll, health and safety, safeguarding, and risk assessments.
* Experience in governance and compliance management.
* Ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
* Experience in event planning and fundraising initiatives.
The successful candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends to cover matchday fixtures and other adhoc events at the bet365 Stadium and across the Trust’s geographical area.
The position will be offered on a full time permanent basis.
