We are recruiting a specialist to support the development, implementation, and review of MCERTS standards for stack emissions monitoring. The role involves shaping standards, responding to queries, presenting technical information, representing the Agency externally, and project managing monitoring studies. Team and Department:
You will join the MCERTS team within Monitoring and Assessment, part of the Chief Regulator’s Group. Our team provides expert advice on monitoring emissions to air, water, and land from industrial processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and update MCERTS standards and technical documents Respond to technical queries from staff, operators, and consultants Present technical information to diverse audiences Represent the Environment Agency in external groups Monitor international developments in emissions standards Project manage monitoring studies to improve stack emissions monitoring Candidate Requirements: Experience with stack emissions monitoring equipment and standards Knowledge of MCERTS accreditation and certification processes Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders Strong communication skills, capable of producing accessible technical information Degree or equivalent in a scientific, environmental, or engineering discipline Additional Information:
