* Working Days: Full Time - Monday - Friday + 1 Saturday every 3 weeks.
* Shifts: 6am - 2.30pm, 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 11.15pm - rota based

Our clients are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join their Estates & Facilities Team. This role is crucial in providing a wide range of service and support functions to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. You will be part of a customer-focused, multi-functional team, engaging in activities that enhance the environment and ensure safety and operational standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Work as part of the Estates & Facilities team under the supervision of the Facilities Duty Supervisor.
* Assist in a variety of tasks including security, parking management, postal services, cleaning, waste and recycling, furniture setups, emergency responses, systems testing, and maintenance.
* Respond to queries and assist in the locking and unlocking of buildings as per daily requirements.
* Conduct regular patrols and checks of internal and external areas.
* Support in the testing of systems such as fire alarms and assist in mailroom duties including sorting and distribution of mail across campuses.
* Collaborate with service partners including cleaning and maintenance teams.
* Manage waste collection, segregation, and storage in compliance with legislation.
* Maintain daily logs and records as directed and ensure adherence to operational procedures, standards, and health & safety regulations.
* Act as a primary responder to fire and evacuation alarms and assist in access control duties including security patrols and key control.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a customer-focused environment and familiarity with support functions and operational activities within premises.
* Desirable: Experience of driving transit-sized vehicles.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.
* Basic DIY skills and proficiency in using handheld technology for job management.
