My client has successfully extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years.
Thames Water, the largest water and wastewater provider in the UK, serves 15 million customers across London and the Thames Valley. This extension will carry the current agreement through to the end of AMP8 in March 2030. The company is delivering work on three frameworks in the region, involving a varied programme of water and wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects to improve the network.
As a Site Agent, you will be an integral part of our operational team, contributing to all phases from tendering and design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
You will lead projects that enhance our environment and communities—from improving flood defenses to upgrading water treatment works and implementing nature-based solutions to boost biodiversity.
Responsibilities of a Site Agent include:
1. Collaborating with design and commercial teams to improve delivery efficiency and identify opportunities while managing risks.
2. Managing the site to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the client’s quality standards.
3. Participating in site-level procurement, subcontractor logistics, and H&S reporting.
4. Updating the client on project progress and addressing concerns.
5. Acting as a Temporary Works Coordinator, overseeing the installation of temporary works to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Requirements:
* CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS certifications.
* HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel across sites in your operational region.
