Hours: 20 hours per week

We’re looking for a caring and conscientious Housekeeper to join the team at Godiva Lodge, Coventry, where attention to detail and pride in your work make a real difference every day.
Working closely with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager, you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the home, supporting residents to feel comfortable, respected and truly at home.

Godiva Lodge is a warm and welcoming Anchor care home, known for its friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community. Residents are supported to live independently where possible, with care and services tailored to their individual needs. The Role
As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the home by ensuring all areas are clean, pleasant and safe for residents, visitors and colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in residents’ rooms and communal areas
2. Using cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively, in line with instructions and health & safety procedures
3. Following infection prevention, COSHH and safe working practices
4. Supporting a safe environment by identifying and reporting hazards
5. Respecting residents’ privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times
About You
You’ll be someone who takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment and understands the importance of your role in a care setting. Ideally, you will have:
6. Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment (such as carpet cleaners)
7. An understanding of the safe use of cleaning products
8. Awareness of health & safety, including COSHH
9. An understanding of data protection, confidentiality and safeguarding of vulnerable adults
10. A Customer Service NVQ Level 2 (or similar) would be advantageous

14. Able to prioritise tasks around residents’ needs
