Are you passionate about maintaining safe, clean, and efficient workplaces? We have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Facilities Operative to join our team at our busy Distribution Centre in Corby.

What You'll Be Doing
• Reporting directly to the Safety & Facilities Manager to support the smooth running of site operations.
• Overseeing warehouse and yard hygiene, ensuring compliance with site hygiene schedules and standards.
• Supporting office and toilet hygiene during holidays or absences of the Office Hygienist, including quarterly deep cleans.
• Playing a key role in the SHEQ Team, helping to drive and maintain site safety standards alongside the Site Safety Manager.
• Attending training courses to continually build your skills and knowledge.
• Using your 'handy person' skills for painting, basic plumbing, and small building or equipment repairs.
• Building your knowledge of MHE (Material Handling Equipment) and assisting engineers during servicing and repairs.
• Driving and operating MHE equipment such as floor sweepers and counterbalance FLT.
• Managing stock levels for essential maintenance and cleaning equipment.
• Acting as a site safety representative, promoting a proactive health and safety culture across the site.
• Conducting weekly safety testing on fire systems, pumps, and the backup generator.
• Taking on additional duties as needed to keep the site running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
• Experience within a logistics or food industry environment.
• A proactive, diligent approach with the ability to manage schedules effectively.
• Basic DIY skills – confidence in carrying out small repairs, painting, or decorating (a trade qualification would be a bonus but not essential).
• Someone self-motivated, able to work independently and communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels.
• Good IT and record-keeping skills, particularly for managing non-vehicular defects and maintenance logs.
