Job Title: Part-Time ESOL Teacher (Secondary)
Location: Fairlop, London
Working Pattern: 2 Days per Week
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking to appoint a motivated and committed ESOL Teacher to join our mainstream Jewish secondary school based in Fairlop. This is a part-time role (two days per week), starting as soon as possible, supporting students for whom English is an Additional Language.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver targeted ESOL/EAL support to secondary-aged pupils
2. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support language development and curriculum access
3. Assess, track, and report on students' progress
4. Work collaboratively with subject teachers and support staff to meet learners' needs
5. Support students' integration, confidence, and academic achievement
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
6. Experience teaching ESOL/EAL, ideally within a secondary school setting
7. A relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable but not essential)
8. Strong classroom management and communication skills
9. A flexible, proactive, and supportive approach to teaching
10. An understanding of, or willingness to work within, a Jewish school ethos
