Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join their busy team on a permanent basis
Duties include;
* Manage end-to-end monthly payroll and pensions on a high-volume basis
* Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, bonuses, and benefits
* Review and approve payroll reports before final submission
* Ensure compliance with local, national, and international payroll laws and regulations
* Prepare and submit statutory filings (e.g., HMRC in the UK)
* Maintain accurate records for audits and internal reviews
* Maintain and update payroll systems and employee records
* Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure data integrity
* Implement system upgrades or transitions when needed
* Respond to payroll-related queries from employees
* Provide guidance on payslips, tax codes, and deductions
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll perspective
* Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes
* Develop and document standard operating procedures
* Train junior payroll staff or HR team members
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to payroll
* Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, system integrations)
* Dealing with complex queries effectively
