SESSIONAL TEACHER – ESOL - Pre-Entry Level 2
Salary: Up to £28.78 per hour (depending on your teaching qualification and course level)
Location: Havering Adult College, Bower Park Centre, Romford, and/or Brittons Centre, Rainham, Essex

About the Role
Teach at all levels from pre-entry to level 2. Prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback. Conduct pre-course interviews and maintain accurate assessment records. Use innovative teaching methods, including e-learning tools, to motivate learners. Knowledge of Equality, Diversity, Safeguarding, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Candidate Requirements
* Extensive ESOL vocational teaching experience
* Proficiency in MS Office applications
* Assessors’ qualification – TAQA 3 or equivalent
* IQA qualification – TAQA 4 or equivalent (desirable)
* Mentoring experience
* Full UK driving license
* Level 4 Teaching Qualification (e.g., CTLLS or CET)
* GCSE Grade 9-5 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Exceptional candidates without some qualifications but willing to gain them may be considered.
Desirable Skills
* Experience working with diverse learner groups
* Internal quality assurance experience
* Knowledge of the local community
