Purpose of Role

We are recruiting for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to support our Avanti West Coast contract – primarily in Crewe.

Job Description

You will provide planned, preventative, and responsive maintenance across various train stations, rail-related offices, and platform buildings. This role requires a multiskilled approach, combining electrical expertise with wider building maintenance capabilities. You will predominately work out of Crewe & Stoke stations however will also cover Macclesfield, Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool and Runcorn.

Responsibilities

•Undertake electrical maintenance, repairs, and compliance work, including fault finding, emergency lighting tests, fuse board inspections, PAT testing, rewiring, and repairs to sockets and switches.
•Carry out general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry and minor fabrication work.
•Support planned preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition.
•Respond to emergency call-outs and resolve issues efficiently to minimise service disruption.
•Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance checks.
•Drive and operate a company vehicle responsibly while travelling between sites

Essential Qualifications/Skills

•Proven commercial electrical experience.
•18th Edition & NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
•Experience in wider building maintenance (multi-skilled preferred).
•Strong multi-skilled fault-finding and repair skills.
•Experience of using digital tools such as tablets, PDA's or electronic forms
•Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process).
•Full UK Driver’s License (no more than 6 points, no drink-driving offences).
