Commercial Administrator – Waste Management Solutions

Location: Bromsgrove

Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Job Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive Commercial Administrator to support our commercial function through high‑quality administration, customer service and data management. You will assist with quotations, reporting, lead generation and maintaining the customer portal, ensuring clients receive accurate information and a seamless service experience.

This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while supporting the wider commercial team.

Responsibilities

* Answer customer calls professionally, providing assistance or redirecting as needed.
* Actively chase leads and generate sales appointments.
* Liaise with internal colleagues to resolve account‑related issues.
* Enter sales quotations accurately into the company system and distribute to customers.
* Produce basic quotations directly for customers.
* Prepare regular and ad‑hoc client reports.
* Provide general administration to support customer and business needs.
* Support sales initiatives and assist with ad‑hoc projects.
* Manage and upload information—such as weights, collection data, company updates and legislation changes—to the customer portal.
* Generate and send quotes and contracts, and upload them to the system.
* Obtain quotes from subcontractors for new or additional work.
* Provide general office support and cover colleagues during holidays or sickness.
* Carry out any other duties within your capability as requested by management or the Board.

Qualifications & Skills

* Confident and professional telephone manner.
* A positive 'can do' attitude with a willingness to learn and succeed.
* Strong customer service focus with excellent attention to detail.
* Friendly, approachable and able to support colleagues across the department.
* Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Numerate and confident in written communication.
* Ability to adapt to changing systems and processes within a growing business.
* Able to contribute ideas that support business improvement.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to remain effective in a fast‑paced environment.
