We are looking for a motivated Solar Panel Installer to join our team and renewable energy division. The ideal candidate will have experience installing domestic solar PV systems and working safely at heights.
The Role
* To install Solar PV in various areas around Greater Manchester and beyond. This will involve system testing, design checking, installation and communication with customer as well as with office.
* Establish work approaches in accordance with best practice, system design and installation equipment.
* Ensure understanding and consistently apply the knowledge and approach to all technical aspects. Support the 'back-office' function in technical matters.
* To ensure all health and safety procedures and protocols are followed to understand, assess and mitigate risks effectively.
Requirements
* City and Guilds th edition and 2392 or 95 will be preferred).
* NVQ Level 3 qualification.
* 2394 Test and Inspect (Dwelling only).
* Proven technical understanding of Domestic Solar PV, knowledge of small commercial (to 250kw) will be beneficial. Also, generation and export metering, inverters, fault finding and ensuring systems function following design parameters.
* The ability to effectively convey technical issues to a lay person.
* Confident with working at heights and experience with Mobile and Fixed Elevated Working Platforms.
* At least 12 months' experience of domestic Rooftop Solar PV, maintenance work would be a distinct advantage. Experience in commissioning G98 and G99-regulated Solar PV systems would also be advantageous.
* Strong computer literacy and ability to use technology remotely are a must
* Have your own tools and testing equipment.
* Preferably located in drivable distance to Cheadle.
