This is a key role responsible for managing and optimising indirect spend across the business, ensuring value for money, strong supplier performance, and effective risk management.You will play a pivotal role in developing sourcing and category strategies, building strong supplier relationships, and supporting the wider business strategy by providing market insight, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sourcing and category management strategiesAnalyse costs and identify opportunities to reduce spend and improve efficiencyCreate and execute effective negotiation strategiesConduct cost, scenario and benchmarking analysisIdentify, assess and mitigate procurement-related risksMonitor market trends and anticipate changes in supplier negotiation powerOptimise sourcing procedures to maximise efficiency and valueSupport budget development and ongoing cost controlContribute directly to GNFR procurement targetsDevelop, manage and monitor supplier contracts, including KPIs and SLAsWork cross-functionally to balance cost, lead times and riskSupport compliance with ISO standards, ESOS, CSR, GDP and other business requirementsCollaborate with stakeholders across the Phoenix Group to drive profitability and cost efficiency through shared market intelligenceAbout YouYou are a proactive, results-driven procurement professional with a strategic mindset and strong stakeholder management skills.
