Long Term Futures are currently looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-regarded secondary school in the NG9 area of Nottingham. This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school is known for its inclusive values and strong community feel, creating an environment where every student is supported to succeed.
This full-time role begins in September 2025 and will involve working closely with young people aged 11-16, providing support to students with special educational needs.
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
* Helping students remain focused, engaged and confident in the classroom
* Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing
* Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement personalised support strategies
* Playing an active role in creating a nurturing, supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with young people with SEN, either in schools or a similar setting
* A calm, flexible, and empathetic approach to managing behaviour and supporting learning
* Great communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
* A genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their potential
