About Our Client
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join a well-established logistics business supporting a brand-new customer contract. This key position plays a central role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations - from collection and storage through to final delivery - for a fast-growing and dynamic brand.You'll act as the main point of contact for both the customer and internal operations teams, managing day-to-day logistics performance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers direct exposure to the Senior Management Team and is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a thriving logistics environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities for the Junior Supply chain & Logistics Manager will be;
3. Act as the first point of contact for the customer and internal operations departments.
4. Take direct responsibility for contract performance and all associated KPIs.
5. Manage OTIF and KPI reporting directly to the customer.
6. Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly volume forecast planning.
7. Oversee inbound and outbound freight from production and warehouse sites.
8. Coordinate bookings between warehouse, network, and haulage departments.
9. Manage customer delivery bookings via portals, email, and phone.
10. Ensure all post-delivery administration, PODs, and invoicing are completed accurately.
11. Identify and deliver continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
12. Support the customer with new product releases and logistics planning.
13. Input and manage orders within the TMS system and plan freight routes to market.
14. Liaise with senior management and escalate issues as required.
15. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
The Successful Applicant
What We're Looking For the Successful Junior Supply chain & Logistics Manager.
16. Proven experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations.
17. Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
18. Confident managing multiple priorities and customer relationships.
19. A proactive problem-solver with an eye for process improvement.
20. Competent using TMS or similar logistics systems.
21. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a busy on-site team.
22. Commutable daily to Midsomer Norton daily with 5 days per week on Site
