New Business Area Sales Manager – South Biggleswade

We have an opening within our Earth Moving Sales department to oversee South England as a New Business Sales Manager. The role supports the success of the Liebherr‑Great Britain Ltd Earth Moving Technical division through advanced sales skills. With a passion for targets and people, the role will constantly work to increase the client base while ensuring outstanding customer service, aligning with the company’s key result areas: Business Performance, Customer Focus, People & Teamwork, Leadership.


Your Responsibilities

* Contribute to sales growth by generating profitable sales in line with targets.
* Effectively market Liebherr brands, including social media and events, per Management guidance.
* Identify, penetrate, and close new business opportunities (customers who have had no business with LGB for at least 4 years) and pursue after‑sales and rental sales.
* Develop a network of new customer relationships.
* Negotiate within a defined framework to close machine sales profitably.
* Prepare and follow up on quotations to ensure timely payments and delivery.
* Monitor orders closely and quickly communicate any issues.
* Collaborate with the Sales office and other departments to administer all aspects of the sales process.
* Communicate effectively with After Sales to ensure a smooth handover of products.
* Support colleague development by providing opportunities to enhance skills and experience.
* Maintain an accurate customer database and share information with other business areas.
* Supervise product demonstrations at selected customer sites to facilitate closing new business deals.
* Perform any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post.


Your Profile

* Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Competent mechanical engineering background.
* Passion for sales with excellent results.
* Skills in negotiation and selling.
* Outstanding communication skills demonstrated in team environments.
* Computer literate, able to use IT relevant to the role.
* Full clean driving licence.
