Holcim specialise in high-quality asphalt surfacing works and they are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Surfacing Estimator to join their team for 12 months mat cover.Role - EstimatorPay - £450-£550 per day outside IR35Location- Remote working with occasional travel to 1 of the offices and potentially client sites (based in the South)Shift pattern- Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00 Duration- 12 months, could potentially be extended depending on workloadStart date - Jan Responsibilities:Accurate pricing of all work for the Southern Region in line with regional & national contracting strategyUnderstanding and interpreting the commercial and technical requirements of each bid and making due allowance for all requirements that may place the company at risk or provide commercial opportunitiesAttending bid launch meetings with submissions and operational staff where requiredCarry out customer / client visit to maintain and improve good working relationshipsFollowing up on all enquiries priced and updating estimate log as appropriateNegotiate contract conditions with clients at contract letting stageMaintain an up to date and working knowledge of all HSEQ requirementsCommunicating with internal and external contacts in a clear and efficient manner Collaborating data into IT systemsExperience needed:Previous surfacing experience is essentialAbility to work to strict deadlinesOrganised and ability to manage & prioritise workloadsStrong IT literacy skills with MS OfficeFamiliarity with NEC form of ContractsFamiliarity with estimating software (Causeway or similar)Confident telephone manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Great attention to detailKnowledge of the industryBenefits:Advice and editing on your current CVDedicated team throughout your journey within the rolePaid holidayExclusive online services including restaurant and retail discountsChance to receive £300* for referring a friendOpportunity for progression into permanent rolesCompetitive rates of payDoes this role sound interesting?
