From supporting non-speaking learners and AAC users to working with individuals who experience developmental language differences and delays, the therapist will have the opportunity to build clinical skills in a truly inclusive environment. Clinicians within the organisation are a vital part of one of the most integrated models in SEND. Across the client’s network of specialist schools and children’s homes, they deliver exceptional levels of clinical support, both in expertise and breadth. The young people supported often present with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and special educational needs. As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, the Speech & Language Therapist will support educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, they will provide individualised interventions and engage directly with young people to support their development.
