We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Leads / Heads of Year to work within secondary schools across Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced pastoral staff, teachers, Behaviour Support Assistants, youth workers, or individuals with a strong background in supporting young people.
As a Pastoral Lead / Head of Year, you will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, attendance and achievement, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where every young person can succeed.
Providing pastoral support and guidance to students across a designated year group
Building positive relationships with pupils, families and staff
Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations throughout the school
Monitoring attendance, punctuality and student welfare
Working closely with safeguarding, SEND and senior leadership teams
Leading interventions and supporting students to overcome barriers to learning
Upholding safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times

✅ Experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral or support setting
✅ A calm, resilient and proactive approach
✅ The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
✅ Strong organisational and behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
