Description
Ampa (legal / professional services firm) are looking for an exceptional Workplace Team Leader to join their expanding team in Leicester, also covering Sheffield, Leeds and Edinburgh.
Please note that this role will be based from Leicester, with very occasional travel when necessary to the other sites.

The team:
To provide truly outstanding client service we work as one team. Our Business Operations Group is made up of business professionals who work with our legal professionals to provide market-leading expertise to our clients. The Groups include; Finance, Operations, People, Marketing, IT, Risk and Executive Leadership team
What you will be doing:
We’re looking for a strong, accountable leader to head our Workplace Services team, overseeing front of house, building services, print/post, and reprographics across multiple locations. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient work environments for our people, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop regional managers and on-site teams, ensuring service excellence and continuous improvement.
* Oversee reception, post room, document services, meeting facilities, and space planning.
* Manage supplier contracts and service levels to ensure value for money and operational success.
* Maintain health & safety compliance, emergency procedures, and business continuity planning.
* Control OPEX/CAPEX budgets, monthly monitoring, and quarterly forecasting.
* Drive sustainability, legal compliance, and support BCorp reporting initiatives.
What you will need:
You’re an experienced, people-focused leader with a strong operational mindset, proven compliance knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional workplace environments. Organised, strategic, and hands-on, you thrive in fast-paced settings and lead by example.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in Workplace/Facilities Management within professional services.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-location, multi-disciplinary teams.
* Proven understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety, and legal reporting requirements.
* Skilled in front of house operations, building services, and document service management.
* Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
* Experienced in managing suppliers, budgets (OPEX/CAPEX), and delivering cost-effective services.
* Proficient in MS Office 365 / Teams and familiar with document/case management systems.
* Proven ability to drive change, deliver projects, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Knowledge of print/scan fleet management and paperlite initiatives.
Desirable:
* Experience in ESG-related topics and ISO standards (9001, 27001, BS10008).
* Knowledge of tools such as iManage, Uniflow, Paper River, and Fiery.
* Strong background in project delivery, business analysis, and process mapping.
