Join Our Client's Team as an Accounts Assistant!
Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Central Bournemouth
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time (8.45 AM - 5:15 PM with a 1-hour lunch break)
What You'll Do:
1. Processing daily customer receipts, monthly DD collections and DD mandates
2. Sending updated Aged Debt report to relevant parties on a daily basis
3. Process customer statements, running credit control and debt reports
4. Maintaining client deposit spreadsheets and reconciliations
5. General accounts processing tasks, working with Excel
6. Assisting with purchase ledger and payment runs when required as cover
7. Assisting with monthly management processing tasks to agreed deadlines
8. Management of shared email inbox and answer of telephone for centre queries
9. Data processing into a multi company environment
10. Support the team in other tasks as and when required
11. Part of a team of four staff, working in a small office environment
12. Support with Purchase Ledger, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner, Supplier statement reconciliations
13. Resolving supplier payment queries as required
14. Daily bank reconciliations
15. Assisting with processing Retainer Return forms and reconcile with balance on Customer ledger
16. Assisting the Finance Manager, Managing Director and Operations Director with any duties as instructed
17. Responsibility for Purchase Ledger, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring all Sicon approvals are in line with company policy and approval levels
18. Preparation and processing of monthly payment runs
Ideal Candidate:
19. Possess good decision making and problem-solving skills.
20. Possess strong IT skills including Sage, Centre Charge, BACS, MS Excel, Outlook and Word
21. Possess excellent knowledge of Sage Line
22. Possess a strong grasp of double entry book-keeping and set of accounts structure
23. Possess excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload within required deadlines
24. Possess an approachable manner, with excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
25. Demonstrate adaptability to change
