This role is integral to our safeguarding governance framework, supporting the delivery of our commitment to safeguarding adults effectively and ethically.
The Role
As an Assistant Safeguarding Adults Board Manager, you will provide advanced expertise, knowledge, and strategic support to the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB).
You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation, developing policies, and coordinating multi-agency efforts to protect vulnerable adults.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Safeguarding Adults Board in delivering its statutory functions and ensuring effective governance.
2. Facilitating sub-groups to drive key initiatives and implement action plans.
3. Conducting research and horizon scanning to provide updates on legislative changes and emerging safeguarding trends.
4. Building strong partnerships with stakeholders and agencies to coordinate safeguarding responses.
5. Preparing reports and advisory documents for the SAB, ensuring compliance with policies and safeguarding standards.
6. Managing Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs) and securing relevant resources for investigations.
7. Attend meetings and other events within the organisation as mutually agreed, taking comprehensive and accurate minutes.
8. Contributing to policy development and shaping safeguarding priorities.
About You
We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of safeguarding governance and multi-agency collaboration. You will have:
9. Extensive knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and best practices.
10. Experience working within safeguarding governance or policy development in a public sector or multi-agency environment.
11. Excellent research and analytical skills to advise stakeholders and ensure compliance with evolving legislation.
12. Strong interpersonal and partnership-building skills to foster collaboration across agencies.
13. Exceptional communication abilities, with experience in preparing formal reports and presenting findings.
14. Proven ability to manage complex safeguarding cases and reviews, ensuring ethical and effective responses.
