Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday

Location: Matrix Diagnostics, Waltham Abbey, EN9 3BZ

Salary: £23,915.01 per annum


As a Laboratory Assistant at Matrix Diagnostics, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our laboratory, ensuring samples are accurately received, processed, stored and managed within defined turnaround times. You will be central to maintaining sample integrity and traceability, using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and following established procedures to support high-quality diagnostic outcomes.

Working closely with the wider laboratory team, you will help uphold regulatory, quality and data protection standards while delivering a high level of internal and external customer care. From coordinating referral samples and managing non-conforming submissions to maintaining laboratory equipment, stock levels and housekeeping standards, your contribution will directly support the reliability and effectiveness of our testing services.
