Overview
The Vendor Operations Team supports Softcat’s strategic vendor partnerships by managing the day-to-day operational, financial, and commercial elements of vendor programmes. They ensure rebates, incentives, MDF and partner reporting are accurate and compliant. Working closely with Alliance Managers, Finance and other teams, they provide strong governance, reliable data and structured processes that enable informed decision making. As a central coordination point, the team keeps vendor processes running smoothly and ensures partnership commitments are delivered effectively at scale.

Driving commercial value through vendor insight, forecasting and collaboration
As a Vendor Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Acting as a specialist within Vendor Operations, with a focus on vendor rebate programmes and commercial insight
* Building a deep understanding of vendor frameworks to improve forecasting, analysis, and predictability
* Providing interpretation, insight and recommendations using tracking and execution outputs from Operational colleagues
* Partnering with Alliances and Finance to ensure rebate activity is well governed and aligned to wider commercial objectives
* Contributing to the ongoing development and maturity of Softcat’s vendor rebate operating model
Requirements
* Ability to support the Vendor Operations team through specialist insight and a focus on continuous improvement
* Confidence in providing constructive guidance and challenge, grounded in strong operational knowledge, governance, and best practice
* Ability to streamline existing processes and introduce new ways of working to drive operational improvement
* Ability to identify risk, inefficiency, or unnecessary complexity, and translate this into clear, sustainable actions through a continuous improvement approach
* Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
