Overview
Medical Assistant- Primary Care, Glen Mills – ChristianaCare. Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the Primary Care at Glen Mills practice.
Work Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: Day shift. No weekends/holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and support patients virtually or on-site within the practice.
* Room patients for on-site visits and prepare patients for virtual visits, including taking and recording patient vitals.
* Assist clinician with examinations and procedures.
* Prepare exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
* Complete necessary patient-specific paperwork as per practice needs.
* Ensure EMR is up-to-date with all pertinent test results in preparation for the next visit.
* Handle patient call backs relaying information per the direction of the provider.
* As per state guidelines, perform sterilization of medical equipment per practice needs.
* Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills based on practice needs.
* Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
* High School Graduate or Equivalent
* Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program
* Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by NCCA or ANSI
* Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
