Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Create a warm, stimulating, and safe environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate developmental records.
Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to promote each child’s well-being and development.
Support the daily routines of the nursery, including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play.
Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
Confident supporting children’s development through play-based learning.
Ability to form positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Skills:
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong knowledge of child development and early years practice.
Creative, caring, and proactive approach to childcare.
Reliable, organised, and passionate about early years education.
Educational requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (or willingness to complete).
