Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Ware for a Fire Damper Remedial Engineer. Responsibilities include inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing fire dampers in compliance with fire safety regulations. The engineer will assess existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and apply remedial solutions to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, maintaining precise records, ensuring safety protocols, and adhering to strict compliance requirements will be integral to the role.
Qualifications
* Technical skills in fire systems maintenance, repair, and installation, with a focus on fire dampers.
* Understanding of fire safety regulations, compliance standards, and health and safety practices.
* Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills to assess and implement fire safety solutions effectively.
* Ability to interpret and work with technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals related to fire dampers and passive fire protection systems.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
* A relevant technical qualification or recognized certification in fire protection or engineering is advantageous.
* Experience working in fire safety or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
* Possession of a valid UK driver’s license is required.
