Reporting to the management team, youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy finance function. About the Job The Accounts Administrator will support the finance team with a wide range of responsibilities, taking ownership of core accounting duties and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Youll be involved in: Credit control and cash flow management Nominal ledger controls Cash book and petty cash management Processing supplier invoices and payments Setting up new customer and supplier accounts Bank reconciliations Preparation and submission of VAT returns Statutory returns (CIS, Intrastats) Monthly management accounts Assisting in year-end statutory accounts preparation Updating and maintaining accounts and CRM systems Liaising with external accountants Supporting other internal departments, including purchasing General office administration and ad hoc duties Experience, Skills & Attributes Minimum 3 years experience in an SME finance or accounts administration role Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software Knowledge of VAT, CIS and statutory reporting Excellent accuracy, organisation, and time management Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
