What you’ll do An exciting opportunity exists to join the Client Funds team, which is responsible for efficient control and management of Flutter client funds. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant – Client Funds, the role will be responsible for developing and maintaining a “best in class” cash control environment across client funds and customer wallets for the Flutter brands. The role involves ownership and management of Client Funds Processes, building relationships across many departments, including Group Finance, Treasury, Online Finance/Product and Customer Operations to ensure customer cash is safeguarded. The successful candidate will have key responsibility for ensuring the accurate recording and administration of these funds and for the accurate settlement of cash from customer holdings to the corporate bank accounts in relation to revenues earned across PPB product offering. The position will also involve closing the processor and bank reconciliations at month end, helping to ensure that the team delivers to the deadlines required and involvement in integration of new products, payment methods and jurisdictions. Flutter is a growing business, so there will be exposure to projects to integrate new products, payment methods and jurisdictions. Equally, there will be opportunities to work on key projects to integrate and align ways of working across the Flutter Group. Key Responsibilities Calculation & reporting of weekly/monthly Client Funds processes, including but not limited to completion and review of month end procedures, calculation of weekly and monthly corporate cash settlement, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, assistance on annual audit reviews. Month end Balance Sheet reconciliations. Calculation & reporting of monthly fees and chargebacks. Implementation of new products and payment methods into existing processes and performance of UAT on these. Identification of key risks and assessment of control framework. Close liaison with external payment processors, internal payment product management and the Customer Payment teams. Effective and timely communication with Senior Financial Accountant – Client Funds, including reporting of any material financial exceptions and liabilities as they arise. Managing relationships across geographical locations, with many key stakeholders being situated in Dublin, New York, the Isle of Man and Leeds. Awareness of the financial control framework, identifying and highlighting any potential risks. How you’ll do it Strong educational background to degree level. Newly qualified accountant. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, combined with a proactive approach to work and a desire to progress. Proficient in use of standard IT packages (especially Excel) and a strong working knowledge of Accurate (Fiserv reconciliation tool). Professional, combined with good time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills. High level of attention to detail and trustworthiness due to sensitive nature of customer information. Proactivity and innovation – capacity to take the initiative to identify improvements in process and assist management in implementation.
