A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for aCNC Machinist, on behalf of our client, a leader manufacturing automotive company based in Basildon.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate horizontal and 5-axis milling machines.
* Load materials and unload finished products.
* Adjust machine settings, including speeds and cutter paths, as required.
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, adhering to customer tolerances.
* Strictly follow procedures and safety guidelines, including company protocols, operating standards, and process documentation.
* Maintain accurate logs of production activities, equipment issues, adjustments, and repairs.
* Conduct machine inspections to identify mechanical or safety concerns.
* Ensure machines are adequately stocked with tools and materials to minimize downtime.
* Prioritize safety to protect yourself and others around operational machinery.
* Demonstrate flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Time-served CNC Machinist.
2. Proficient in operating horizontal and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
4. Experience working to high-quality standards on precision components.
