NPI Engineer – £30,000 to £45,000 – Mildenhall, Suffolk
An expanding engineering manufacturer based in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is seeking an ambitious NPI Engineer to support the introduction and development of new products. This is a pivotal role within the business, working cross-functionally with commercial, quality, and operations teams, as well as directly with customers, to ensure successful project delivery from concept through to production.

Salary & Hours

£30,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
*
Lead feasibility reviews with cross-functional teams, recommending improvements and best manufacturing methods.
*
Design and develop tooling to support efficient and repeatable production processes.
*
Perform CMM measurement of samples and prepare PPAP documentation.
*
Carry out detailed visual inspections of samples for customer ISIR submission, including weld and paint approvals.
*
Support prototype development, measurement, and approval activities.
*
Provide technical support to customers on manufacturing design queries.
*
Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
*
Support preventative maintenance of production tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven background in engineering and fabrication.
*
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*
Confident with IT systems; ability to adapt quickly to new tools/software.
*
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
*
Desirable experience:

CMM equipment and 3D CAD systems
*
PFMEA / DFMEA
*
APQP / PPAP processes
