Freed Distribution Limited is a fast-growing UK distribution business focused on premium non-alcoholic drinks. We work with leading global producers and bring a highly curated portfolio to the UK market, combining commercial discipline with a strong brand-led approach.
We are building a high-performance team and are now looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our financial operations as we scale.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the business, working closely with our external accountants and internal team to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial records.
This is a key role with real visibility across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
* Assist with payroll coordination (in conjunction with external provider)
* VAT returns preparation and submission support
* Support monthly management accounts preparation
* Liaise with external accountants (Summers Morgan) and advisors
* Maintain financial documentation and compliance records
* Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as the business grows
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
* Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices
* Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Organised, proactive and able to work independently
* Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment
Desirable
* Experience in FMCG, distribution or startup environments
* Familiarity with payroll and pension processes in the UK
* AAT qualified (or working towards)
