The purpose of this role is to maintain and improve the stability, integrity, and efficiency of critical infrastructure services that underpin key business operations. You will work closely with dedicated internal teams and trusted third-party suppliers, coordinating project execution, identifying infrastructure improvement opportunities, and supporting critical technology deployments. This hands-on technical role, combined with project coordination responsibilities, offers the chance to contribute to major infrastructure initiatives, including LAN refreshes, data centre upgrades, and high-availability hosting system improvements. Key Responsibilities: • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, storage systems, Wi-Fi, and other infrastructure components. • Lead infrastructure projects from a delivery perspective (not architectural design). • Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers, including deployment support and project delivery oversight. • Document and recommend infrastructure enhancements, replacements, or upgrades. • Contribute to the development of disaster recovery strategies and high-availability infrastructure designs. Engage in business-critical projects including: • LAN refresh (Cisco) • Data Centre refresh and disaster recovery strategy • Elements of High-Performance Computing • Hosting/storage platform migration with help from third-party supplier • Integration of systems, domains, and networks (future phase) Essential Skills & Experience: • Proven experience configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting: • Servers • LAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure • CISCO network devices (switches/routers) • Storage solutions • Firewalls • Other critical infrastructure components • Strong project coordination experience, especially with third-party suppliers and vendors. • Advanced technical infrastructure expertise with a solid track record in issue resolution and system enhancements. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a mixed-experience team. • Effective stakeholder management and clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable Skills: • Exposure to High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments, ideally with Red Hat (RHEL). • Previous experience in aerospace or automotive sectors.
