Position: Purchasing Lead
Location: Daventry
Salary: £34,000
Purchasing Lead Overview
* Lead supplier negotiations on price, terms, and long-term agreements
* Benchmark market pricing for raw materials (stainless, inconel, aluminium, fabrication consumables etc.)
* Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP requirements
* Issuing and monitoring supplier schedules
* Ensure timely supply of materials to meet production schedules
* Control purchasing spend in line with budget
* Negotiate improved payment terms where appropriate
* Work with Finance to support cash flow planning
Purchasing Lead Requirements
* Experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace)
* Strong negotiation and commercial skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
* Data-driven and systems literate (MRP/ERP experience essential)

* Working hours - Monday - Friday 8-4
