What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Act as the first point of contact for colleagues, supporting them with process queries and day‑to‑day operational needs
- Oversee daily workflow, balancing multiple workstreams and ensuring tasks are delivered in line with customer expectations and site priorities
- Maintain strong communication with the Shift Manager, escalating issues, aligning on targets and ensuring effective handovers
- Carry out quality checks, investigate discrepancies, complete incident reports, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and site procedures
- Support training, monitor performance, uphold security and housekeeping standards, and promote a positive, collaborative team culture
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in a similar warehouse or leadership role (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑changing environment
- Excellent communication, numeracy and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and lead by example
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and bank holidays when required
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices
