Homelessness Case Officer (12 month fixed term contract)

It is exciting times in the council’s Housing Choices Team and we are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our team to support the team in discharging our statutory homelessness functions. Currently we are seeing an increase in demand for our services from a range of customers finding themselves in a difficult situation and we need to ensure we have the right level of staff to meet the needs of these customers. We are looking for a customer focussed team member to work with customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to help them find housing solutions that meet their needs. This must be done whilst ensuring that the council fulfils its obligations under the homelessness legislation. The successful candidate must have understanding and experience of working under part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 and Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
* 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of starting at £32,597 (Band £32,597 to £36,363)
