Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist – Clinical Services Banding: Band 7 Location: West Middlesex Hospital, Isleworth Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months initially Hourly Rate: £29-31 Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am–5:30pm) Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – Band 7 to join the pharmacy team at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with recent hospital experience in medicine and surgery wards, looking to contribute to safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced NHS environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening and checking prescriptions, supporting ward-based clinical pharmacy services, and utilising EPMA systems to optimise medicines management. Key Responsibilities Screen and clinically check prescriptions for accuracy and safety. Deliver ward-based clinical pharmacy services across medicine and surgery. Use EPMA systems (Cerner and Wellsky) to support prescribing and administration. Provide expert advice on medicines use and optimisation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Experience Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Recent experience as a ward pharmacist in a hospital setting. Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of medicines management. Competent in using Cerner and Wellsky EPMA systems. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
