Job Description
QSW - Fostering Team
Your new company
We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Local Authority on a temporary contract that will run into Summer 2024. As part of the fostering team, you will benefit from working with a well-established and supportive team that prides themselves on providing the best care for children and young adults so that they receive the best possible outcomes.
Your new role
To ensure that our foster carers are well-supported, we strive to ensure supervising social workers have manageable case loads and can access additional placement support from dedicated placement support workers and a dedicated team of reunification workers who can provide support to a child during transition between placements and work collaboratively with children's social workers to support children and young people return home. We are a reflective organisation that continuously builds on its strengths and is committed to the principle that the most effective way of improving outcomes for all children, young people and families is through the provision of accessible, universal services.
The team uses a hybrid working model where you will be working in the office 3 days per week and 2 days per week from home. It is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, but there are flexible hours between 9am and 5pm.
