Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research Business Manager
The Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research (OCEMR) is seeking a Business Manager to oversee administrative functions within the Departments of Experimental Psychology and Psychiatry. This full-time, fixed-term position (until September 2030) involves managing financial, HR, and administrative matters, serving as the primary point of knowledge and advice for OCEMR administration and wider teams.
OCEMR is a newly funded research centre dedicated to world-class research on children and young people's mental health, incorporating over 10 research groups and more than 100 staff and students.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent, with proven experience in line management and complex project management within a large environment. Essential skills include technical accounting, budgeting, planning, and research grants management. Experience with X5 and People XD Systems, a recognised accountancy qualification or nearing completion, and experience in a research-intensive higher education setting are advantageous.
