Responsibilities:
The candidate would be responsible for the management of general insurance claims on a ‘cradle to grave’ basis, handling a diverse caseload whilst being able to conduct site inspections, meetings and interviews with various parties including Insureds, Insurers and Brokers.
This position is UK-based and will require travel domestically for fieldwork throughout the UK.
The successful applicant will have responsibility for the following activities:
* Hands on loss adjusting for liability complex claims.
* Overseeing claims handled by a small team.
* Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves.
* Ensuring compliance with all service level agreements
* Management of own diary system
* Liaising with Advanta’s Head Office and UK property team to maintain high standards of work
* Participation in the growth of the Advanta business to include client liaison
* Assist the existing team with business development opportunities
Skills / Experience / Requirements:
Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK without restrictions.
Ideal applicants will have:
* At least 5 years’ liability loss adjusting experience
* Main areas of expertise: Property owners liability, Public liability, Employers liability, Product liability and General liability
* Familiarity with the insurance markets
* Experience of leading meetings and discussing claims with senior personnel
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Dynamic and flexible to meet deadlines and client needs
* Loss Adjusting qualifications desirable or working towards (CILA, ACII)
