Job title: Senior Auditor - Initial and Large Site Accommodations Department: Assurance/Compliance Reporting to: Head of Large Sites Assurance Location: South England and Wales Contract type: Permanent Hours of work: 40 hours p/w (Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm) Salary: £35,845 - £50,290 per annum The Senior Auditor manages a team of auditors and provides assurance that the standards of accommodation and relevant services are in line with contractual and statutory guidelines. Auditing the work of Inspection Officers and the audit team the Senior Auditor provides critical insights to senior managers on risks, controls and key processes when deficiencies are identified. The postholder must hold a full UK Driving License and access to their own vehicle as extensive daily travel is required. Procedures Manage, plan and coordinate the work of the team and providing a monthly schedule of audit activities. Ensure auditors audit the work of every inspection officer at least once every calendar month. Ensure auditors auditing activities covers a variety of accommodation types and sizes used to accommodate service users. Ensure audits are conducted in line with internal quality assurance processes and guidelines. Carry out assurance of personnel standards, accommodation and services within accommodations assigned to you by line manager. Provide periodic reports on team’s activities as directed by line manager identifying gaps and providing improvement strategies. Facilitate and attend inspections or audits of accommodations in the portfolio by UKVI and other statutory bodies as directed by line manager or senior management team Provide detailed response to queries from UKVI or other stakeholders as directed by line manager. Staff Management Manage the team and portfolio of accommodations to assure quality and service standards are in line with contractual and statutory obligations. Plan and prioritise own diary to ensure monthly performance reviews are completed and providing constructive feedback to the team to promote meeting organisational goals. Offer guidance and support to team of Audit Officers in their work to assure quality of accommodations are in line with contractual and statutory standards Ensure team meet all training requirements and are developed to support the requirements of their role Create suitable environment for a cohesive and high performing team Connect and Collaborate Work closely with your line manager, Senior Inspector, team members and stakeholders. Identify any potential risks through audit reports and implement risk mitigation strategies. Liaise with stakeholders, statutory inspectors and subcontractor staff as required by management. Collaborate with others, attending meetings as required including team meetings, wider staff meetings and, meetings with stakeholders as directed. Providing on call cover during peak times or emergencies. Supporting team members, providing and arranging training as required using appropriate training methods and facilities. Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager. Responsive Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls). Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures. Manage own personal time to meet business demands and managing the team to ensure timely completion of audit tasks. Maintain collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders as required. Work toward own and team goals and performance objectives.
