Contract Supervisor - Devizes
The Contract Supervisor will oversee the daily operation of the contract, planning tasks and resources to ensure a high-quality, efficient, and safe service. You will report to the Contract Manager and may deputise for them as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Organise staff and teams to deliver the service according to Glendale Live schedules.
2. Liaise with the Contract Manager regarding staffing needs, using reports and plans.
3. Monitor progress and performance via Glendale Live and other company systems.
4. Conduct quality monitoring of completed work and generate reports.
5. Arrange call-outs, out-of-hours, and holiday rotas to meet service requirements.
6. Assist in recruiting and employing staff, ensuring administrative tasks are completed promptly.
7. Manage employee and subcontractor records effectively.
8. Maintain good employee relations, ensuring clear expectations.
9. Support staff training to meet compliance and skill development needs.
10. Investigate incidents and support disciplinary procedures.
11. Evaluate and maintain vehicle and machinery requirements.
12. Ensure all equipment is safe and checked for use by qualified staff.
13. Provide information for client reports and attend client meetings as needed.
14. Maintain excellent communication internally, with clients, and the public.
15. Liaise with Client Officers on work programs, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
16. Recommend improvements to service standards.
17. Ensure workforce timesheets are completed and holidays are approved.
18. Provide data and quotations for additional work and oversee delivery.
19. Participate in health and safety compliance, conduct safety inspections, and record incidents.
20. Organise safety meetings and toolbox talks.
21. Support environmental standards and ISO 14001 compliance.
22. Deputise for the Contract Manager during their absence.
23. Perform any other relevant duties.
Health & Safety responsibilities include:
* Act in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and policies.
* Complete necessary safety training and inductions.
* Promote safe working practices and ensure equipment safety.
Machinery responsibilities include:
* Use machinery according to guidelines.
* Report defects immediately.
* Complete maintenance and check sheets.
* Secure machinery when not in use.
* A full, clean driving licence is required.
