“Are you ready to join a team of flood risk specialists and shape the future of the Water Industry?”
Our Water team is on the lookout for a passionate Flood Modeller to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Water Business Line. This is your chance to help deliver high profile, influential projects across the UK and even further afield while working at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious and connected northern engineering hubs.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping resilient, future proof solutions for communities, infrastructure and the environment. No two days are the same, and you’ll have every opportunity to grow, innovate, and collaborate with a team that thrives on variety.
Here’s what you’ll do:
At AECOM, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality flood modelling and hydrology projects. Under general supervision, you will:
1. Undertake a range of technical and administrative tasks of limited to moderate complexity related to groundwater investigations and hydrological studies.
2. Contribute to assignments spanning the wider field of hydrology and related disciplines, working to defined project terms with regular guidance and review from senior professionals.
3. Analyse hydrological and environmental data, developing models and preparing clear, concise technical reports.
4. Monitor and interpret data to assess the impacts of upstream activities, ensuring compliance with relevant permits and regulatory requirements.
If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Join our team, where we don't just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives. Why not give our AECOM Water page on LinkedIn a follow to stay updated on the impactful projects we're working on and see firsthand the difference we're making in the industry!

Become part of our dynamic Water business, which boasts around 700 experts across the UK & Ireland. Collaborate with top-tier engineers and consultants to deliver a variety of captivating projects, from small initiatives to large-scale ventures, all the way from concept to completion.
At AECOM, you’ll thrive in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment where your contributions are valued - and let's not forget about the perks! You'll enjoy a range of core and personalised benefits designed to support your future and well-being, customised to fit your lifestyle.
