About the Role
Part‑time hours will be considered. An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician registered with the GPhC and with extensive post‑qualification experience to join our pharmacy team. NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service serves a population of approximately 380,000 people and is provided by an integrated team of around 200 pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, support staff, nurses and administrators. The team works across acute and community hospital sites, general practices, mental health services and a range of specialist teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide operational leadership and management of the Aseptic Dispensing Unit.
* Use expert knowledge to ensure safe, high‑quality preparation and supply of aseptically dispensed medicines.
* Work independently and as part of the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team.
* Build good relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
* Manage staff and lead a team.
* Work variable shifts between 07:00‑17:00 Monday to Friday and participate in a weekend and public holiday rota.
Requirements
* Registered with the GPhC as a pharmacy technician with extensive post‑qualification experience.
* Experience managing staff and leading a team.
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
* Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
* Must demonstrate a right to work in the UK; either have appropriate permission or be eligible for sponsorship.

* Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata; from 1/4/26 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week with a corresponding hourly rate increase so pay will not be affected.
