We are seeking Systems Architects at both Lead and Practitioner levels to join our Systems Engineering team and bring knowledge and experience to a number of exciting programmes. The Role: Systems Architect As a Systems Architect at TP Group, you will play a pivotal role in MOD programmes across the CADMID cycle and in a number of domains, providing expert consultation in Digital Engineering to integrate the product design, development, delivery, and full lifecycle support in an agile, high-performance culture by utilising digital models that represent every characteristic of a complex product or system to be developed. We are looking for Systems Architects with experience in defence, ideally in Defence Digital with demonstrable expertise in any or some of the following areas: Digital Twins & modellers with experience or knowledge of MBSSE Model Based Systems & Simulation Engineering. Spiral development, delivering 80% of solution at pace, and 20% through active learning from experience. Systems Architects with Archimate & TOGAF and/or SPARX EA qualifications to exploit and influence the digital architecture and toolsets. Bizzdesign is a desirable addition. Network Architects with significant MOD experience. General requirements: Lead the development and refinement of system architectures for defence projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system designs meet the unique requirements of the UK MOD. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Utilise MBSE (/MBSSE) methodologies and tools to create models, simulations, and documentation that aid in requirement analysis, system design, and verification processes. Apply a systems thinking approach to architecture design for the lifecycle of the product Derive functional and behavioural aspects of a system Produce candidate solution architectures and derive requirements at all levels Contribute to and write Engineering Plans, Technical Specifications, interface Documents, Test Plans and Technical Reports Effectively communicate modelling and architecture outcomes to the wider programme Ensure architecture outcomes meet the programme objectives Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field and/or Experience as a Systems Architect in MOD or defence-related projects. As a Systems Architect, ideally you will: Be an Analytical Systems thinker able to develop and communicate new concepts and architectures Have experience of developing complex systems, ideally in defence. Have experience of modern SE approaches like MBSE as well as the tools used.
