Our Tier 1 Legal 500-ranked Employment team in Norwich is seeking an ambitious Associate to advise leading commercial and public sector clients.
The role
We are looking for an employment law solicitor to join the Employment, Pensions and Immigration NSL, based in our Norwich office, working mainly for employers in the commercial sector.
You will advise and support a range of commercial employers, from SME and mid-market private sector businesses to large global organizations, with clients regionally, nationally, and internationally. Your responsibilities will include advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, engaging in business development activities, and acting for regional employers in the education and government sectors.
The person
Essential Skills
* Being a qualified solicitor with up to 3 years PQE
* Degree (or equivalent) and A levels (or equivalent)
* Enthusiasm for employment law with previous advising experience
* High level of IT skills, along with marketing and business development skills
* Excellent written English for drafting
* Excellent presentation skills
You should be self-starting, possess common sense and initiative, work well as part of a team on complex matters, and have excellent time and documentation management skills with keen attention to detail. Building strong relationships with clients and potential clients, and having good research skills, including online information sourcing, are essential. Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing and persuading, are also required.
Desirable Skills
Experience in providing employment law support to corporate transactions, including drafting contracts, settlement agreements, and conducting due diligence, is desirable.
