We are currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 ASC Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Poulton area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC, helping them access learning and manage transitions
* Implement strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions
* Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and daily feedback
* Promote a calm, inclusive and structured learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with ASC or other SEND
* Strong understanding of autism and associated needs
* Patience, empathy and a proactive approach
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
