Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two non-contentious Construction lawyers – one of 2 to 5 and the other of 6 or more years’ PQE. This Non-contentious Construction practice is truly comprehensive in scope and features leading work on a national scale and is a practice that the firm is actively looking to expand to compliment and support the firm’s overall strategic direction. With a wealth of commercial and contractual expertise, they guide clients through de-risking strategies, offering strategic advice from scheme inception to project completion. They advise on nationally important infrastructure projects, such as energy generation (primarily through renewable sources), regeneration and iconic development projects, mixed use and residential development, commercial and logistics projects and major retail developments. Their work ranges from initial procurement advice, legal project management, through to negotiating complex construction procurement agreements, whether bespoke or based on the myriad industry standard forms commonly used in the UK, and whether leading or working alongside other advisers. They also work closely with the firm’s contentious construction, major projects, renewables, commercial real estate and banking and project finance teams. The successful candidates will assist with drafting, negotiating and advising on construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, financial securities (including bonds and guarantees), letters of intent and reliance letters. Applicants will have a demonstrable experience of standard forms of construction contracts (JCT, NEC), development agreements, process plant and associated documentation.
