Transaction Recruitment is supporting our Wakefield-based client in their search for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join them on a long-term temporary basis, offering an immediate start. You will be working as part of a successful payroll team, responsible for processing an in-house payroll from start to finish for 1500+ employees. My client is seeking a proactive candidate with a passion for payroll and demonstrable experience in an environment where you will have full autonomy to achieve results. This position offers hybrid working.
Daily duties and experience required include:
1. Demonstrable experience of working in an end-to-end payroll capacity
2. Manual calculations experience
3. Investigating anomalies and resolving queries
4. Processing starters and leavers
5. Calculating holiday pay and national insurance
6. Calculating SSP, SMP, and SPP
7. Pensions knowledge
8. Up-to-date payroll legislation knowledge
